The majority of Israelis support what is already happening
The Israelis are blaming Netanyahu, but not for the Palestinians' sake!
The rise of several protests in different parts of Israel against its prime minister, Netanyahu, and his government may show that the Israeli population doesn't stand with its leadership regarding their actions in Gaza and that they are seeking peace.
However, several polls conducted in 2023 and 2024 have shown that the majority of Israelis, particularly the Jewish, stand with many of the crimes committed by the IOF.
I believe we all remember the video virally streamed on the internet of "a gang rape of a Palestinian prisoner by guards at the Sde Teiman detention facility in the Negev desert," southern Israel.
The video showed a victim being selected from a larger group lying bound on the floor, escorted to a wall, where guards, using their shields to hide their identity from the camera, proceeded to rape him. So, how did the Israelis think about such a crime?
Only 28% of the Israelis believed that those soldiers should face "criminal prosecution". On the other hand, 56% of Israelis thought that it was enough to "discipline the soldiers at command level".
People worldwide understood that "it is ok to rape Palestinians," according to that survey. However, Reuters has mentioned that the poll was "mistranslated" by the whole world. So, thanks Reuters for correcting our misunderstanding!
The Time published a report on 10th of November 2023, which showed that majority of the Israelis are in favor of war.
Only 10% of Israeli Jews in the Israel Democracy Institute poll said they would support a pause in fighting in order to exchange hostages. Meanwhile, 44.3%, the plurality of Israeli Jews, said they want the government to negotiate for the hostages immediately without pausing the fighting. Source: Time
Great! The first report was misunderstood by general audience and let's suppose the second report means Israelis were frustrated by the October's attacks.
CNN mentioned on the 17th of January 2024 that "Israel’s far-right wants to move Palestinians out of Gaza."
The picture above shows Israeli soldiers standing rifles in hand, arm over shoulder, speaking to the camera. Behind them is the shell of a Gazan building. They said:
“We are here adding light after the black sabbath that the people of Israel had,” one of the men says in the video, circulating on Telegram. “We are occupying, deporting, and settling. Occupying, deporting, and settling. Did you hear that, Bibi? Occupying, deporting, and settling.”
Ok. These are a group of soldiers who belong to the "most moral army in the world." However, they are a bunch of kids, right? No one should consider their "enthusiastic" words!
On the other hand, 2 of Netanyahu's ministers shared a similar opinion:
“We must promote a solution to encourage the emigration of the residents of Gaza,” far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said on January 1.
Israel “will rule there. And in order to rule there securely for a long time, we must have a civilian presence,” Far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said.
A typical Israeli Zionist would say, Well, these are far right activists! Then, they are somehow "bad guys.". We also shouldn't take their words seriously, right?
Ok. Let's move to another point! What about "assassinations"? Normal people may approve of wars, but not such actions!
The Lazar Institute conducted a survey that included 510 Israelis. The results were published on August 2nd, 2024, in the well-known Israeli news outlet, Maariv, as follows:
69 percent of Israelis support targeted assassinations.
19 percent of the respondents disagreed.
12 percent had no definite opinion.
But that is a small sample size. It isn't conclusive, indeed! You must be kidding me!
Well! A poll was conducted by the famous Channel 12 of Israel on January 31st, 2024. This poll showed a "surprising" result:
72 percent of the 503 respondents said “the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip must be stopped until the Israeli prisoners are released,” with only 21 percent saying aid should continue to enter Gaza.
Stop using sample sizes of 500 participants to express the opinions of the Israelis!
Ok. Let's move to the Pew Research Center, which published a report on May 30th, 2024, regarding "Israeli Views of the Israel-Hamas War.". Again, the results were extremely fascinating:
39% of Israelis said Israel’s military response against Hamas in Gaza has been about right.
34% said it has not gone far enough.
19% thought it had gone too far.
That means 73% of the sampled population are just "ok" with what is happening in Gaza. However, around half of them need "more blood!".
We are defending ourselves!
Did I mention that Israel’s finance minister, Bezalel Smotrich, sparked international outrage after he said:
“No one in the world will allow us to starve 2 million people, even though it might be justified and moral in order to free the hostages.”
Israel was “bringing in humanitarian aid because we have no choice. We are in a situation that requires international legitimacy to conduct this war.”
I told you we shouldn't take those far-right activists seriously!
Well. The "truthout" website mentioned that a poll was conducted by the Viterbi Family Center for Public Opinion and Policy Research at the Israel Democracy Institute between December 11–13, 2023.
In the poll, Israeli Jews were asked, “To what extent should Israel take into consideration the suffering of the civilian population in Gaza when planning the continuation of the fighting there?”
Over 80 percent responded with “to a very small extent” or “to a fairly small extent.” - Truthout
On the other hand, the Guardian mentioned in a report:
In an opinion poll published on Channel 11, a public broadcaster, a week before the invasion of Rafah, 47% of those asked supported an end to the war in Gaza in return for the release of the Israeli hostages, while only 32% were against.
Yes. We want our hostages back! Everything we do matches the requirements of international laws!
Mm. No, you don't!
The Middle East Eye mentioned on 18th of August, 2024:
A new poll has revealed that 47 percent of Israeli Jews believe Israel should not obey international law and moral values during Israel's war on Gaza. The poll's findings were released on Sunday by the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS).
No! We do nothing immoral! You are lying! We let Palestinians live safely and provide them with aid!
It seems you have forgotten what I mentioned earlier regarding the humanitarian aid. Guess what? It is no problem. There is more than sufficient data regarding "Israel aiding people in Gaza."
The Mondoweiss published on February 23rd, 2024, a report that revealed some more insights:
The Israeli Democracy Institute released a survey showing that over 2/3 of Jewish Israelis – 68% that is – opposed “the transfer of humanitarian aid to Gaza residents at this time.”
Over two-thirds still oppose humanitarian help “via international bodies that are not linked to Hamas or to UNRWA… A majority of Jewish respondents (68%) oppose the transfer of humanitarian aid even under these conditions,” the survey notes.
The numbers are worse when it comes to right-wing Jewish Israelis, where the opposition is at 80% – four out of five. And consider that about 2/3 of Israeli voters are considered right-wing.
Enough is enough!
Ok. Let's move to another point. I believe that colonists don't care about their acquired land but for their lives, while natives never leave their land, right? It is my own hypothesis!
Anyway, the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) published data on the 24th of September, 2024, that pointed at:
About 55,300 Israelis left the country for an extended stay in 2023, a rate of 5.7 per 1,000 residents - a slight increase compared to previous years. On the other hand, only about 27,800 Israelis returned to Israel during the year, a rate of 2.9 per 1,000 residents - which constitutes a negative immigration balance, with about 27,500 more leaving than returning.

Let's look far away. What do the UN experts think of what is happening in Gaza?
The UN experts have mentioned previously:
We are particularly distressed by reports that Palestinian women and girls in detention have also been subjected to multiple forms of sexual assault, such as being stripped naked and searched by male Israeli army officers. At least two female Palestinian detainees were reportedly raped while others were reportedly threatened with rape and sexual violence,” the experts said. They also noted that photos of female detainees in degrading circumstances were also reportedly taken by the Israeli army and uploaded online.
The experts expressed concern, according to a press release, that an unknown number of Palestinian women and children, including girls, have reportedly gone missing after contact with the Israeli army in Gaza.
“There are disturbing reports of at least one female infant forcibly transferred by the Israeli army into Israel, and of children being separated from their parents, whose whereabouts remain unknown,” they said.
Your references are absolute nonsense! Why don't you learn something from the Israeli sources?
Well, the previous mentioned surveys and polls were conducted by Israelis in Israel! However, you are right! Let's move to more Israeli sources.
I would like to begin the next part with a quote from a Palestinian prisoner:
We were taken to Megiddo. When we got off the bus, a soldier said to us: "Welcome to hell." - Fouad Hassan, 45, a father of five and resident of Qusrah in Nablus District, who was held in Megiddo Prison
Now, let's move to the Jewish Virtual Library website, where we would find some "Israeli Public Opinion Polls regarding Peace with the Palestinians and a Palestinian State."
49% disagree that the only way to end the conflict is the two-state solution.
37% agree that Gaza should be resettled by Jewish settlements.
59% believe that Palestinians shouldn't be helped.
60% believe that Israelis shouldn't cooperate with Palestinians.
I would like to finalize this article with the words of Mairav Zonszein, the senior Israel analyst at the International Crisis Group, who wrote in Foreign Policy:
The focus on Netanyahu is a convenient distraction from the fact that the war in Gaza is not Netanyahu’s war; it is Israel’s war—and the problem isn’t only Netanyahu; it’s the Israeli electorate.
Blaming Netanyahu—who refuses to leave Israeli political life despite being on trial for corruption and presiding over the country during the worst catastrophe in its history—has eclipsed the fact that when it comes to Israeli policies on Gaza in particular, and the Palestinians in general, many Israelis are broadly aligned with Netanyahu. By a large margin, they support the current military campaign in Gaza and the government’s goal of destroying Hamas, whatever the human toll for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The thousands of Israelis who are once again turning out to march in the streets are not protesting the war. Except for a tiny handful of Israelis, Jews, and Palestinians, they are not calling for a cease-fire or an end to the war—or for peace. They are not protesting Israel’s killing of unprecedented numbers of Palestinians in Gaza or its restrictions on humanitarian aid that have led to mass starvation. (Some right-wing Israelis even go further by actively blocking aid from entering the strip.) They are certainly not invoking the need to end military occupation, now in its 57th year. They are primarily protesting Netanyahu’s refusal to step down and what they see as his reluctance to seal a hostage deal.
If we are meant to write about crimes committed by the Israeli OF, a book won't be enough to hold them. If we are meant to search for clues regarding the Israeli colonial mind, we will need hundreds of articles to cover everything from 1948!
As always, I am ending my article with: Spread the word & stand for the freedom of oppressed people everywhere.
Yes, it's estimated that 80% of Israelis fully support the slaughter, which likely encompasses some of the sniveling, departing gutless wonders. Sure these folks will welcome and appreciate American service members who may well die bailing out the fascist, revanchist Zionist junta.
Not one drop of American blood for Israel!
